A bat house attaches to each side of this hexagonal, PVC bracket, and the base of each connects to the lower bracket for a stable configuration. Its extended flange inserts into the top of the pole for a secure connection at just the right height for bats. Each home has deep grooves on the extended landing platform and in the chambers, for excellent clinging surfaces, while the two chambers on each home measure 1" deep. The dark brown, exterior grade stain on the units adds a natural-looking finish, and helps the homes remain warm. A 0.25" wide ventilation slat on the front of each roost aids in regulating the internal temperatures, and their slanted roofs keep rain out of the shelters. An image of a bat in flight adorns the front of each bat house, while the furniture grade wood construction provides durability.
