| Rome Armillary Sundial w/Lion's Head, Polished Brass, 12.25" Brighten your garden décor with the Rome Armillary Sundial with Lion's Head. Armillary spheres were used for centuries as celestial globes, with rings corresponding to the meridians and parallels on a modern globe. This unit has a brass arrow threading through the main ring. A secondary band helps hold the arrow in place, and features Roman numerals on the interior. A lion's head adorns each end of this band, for a stately touch. Point the arrow celestial north in a sunny location, and it will act as a gnomon, casting a shadow over the numerals and indicating the time. A third band connects to the bottom of the main ring, for another dimension to this unit. The polished brass finish lends a hint of luxury to the armillary, and the stepped base adds dimension. Place this item on the ground, or on top of a pedestal for added height. Crown your garden with this Armillary Sundial with Lion's Head. Some assembly required.
