The glass seed reservoir has a slight teardrop shape, which expands and then tapers near the base for a generous capacity. Non-acid etchings of flowers, vines, and leaves adorn the body of the vessel, while the deep blue color enhances nearby greenery. The seed reservoir holds 1 quart of mixed or other seed, and it exits onto an 8.25" diameter metal tray through two seed ports. A baffle on the base keeps seed moving, for a clean reservoir, and prevents a dirty buildup in the tube. Strategically placed holes on the tray allow water to drain, offering a fresh food source for songbirds. Attach the included 7" "S" hook to the metal hanger at the top of the feeder, to easily place it in a tree or on a bracket. The feeder unscrews from the tray for easy refilling and thorough cleaning, and the durable, recycled glass construction forms an environmentally sound item.
