There is more to the Natureline Bluebird House than meets the eye. This durable HDPE plastic house is loaded with innovative features. The sloped roof, molded to look like shingles, extends over the front of the house, protecting the entrance from the elements. Under the roof, an insulated attic cavity regulates temperature. Air and drainage vents at the top and bottom of the structure keep it dry and full of fresh air. Within the house's cavity, a raised nesting platform helps filter out harmful parasites and keeps them away from the nest and birds. Inside the front door, special plastic bosses allow you to attach an optional bird ladder (not included) to help fledglings climb out. The hinged front door fastens with a latch and allows easy observation and clean outs. Stand-off mounts at the back of the house permit you to hang this dwelling against any flat surface without blocking the ventilation and drainage vents. Install the Bluebird House in your open lawn to give bluebirds shelter as natural habitats grow harder and harder for them to find.
