The abundant detailing and significant size will certainly make this home a favorite in your bird garden, for both you and your backyard birds. A fixed water wheel sits at the front of the home, with a faux stream beneath it for added realism. A plastic pane in each of the windows enables you to monitor avian activity, while the white and brown wooden frame and interior rails around the windows enhance them. More whimsical accents, such as a sconce next to a door, a wood pile, railings along the balconies, and a stone chimney ensure that no detail has been overlooked. The tan background, with its different hues of brown, evokes stucco, and a cedar shingled roof completes this amazing shelter. A 1.25� diameter entrance hole sits at the top of the roost, leading to a deep home for the comfort and protection of small songbirds. The overhang of the pitched roof protects the nest from rain, while drainage holes on the base help any captured water escape. The sides and top of this compartment remain unpainted, for the safety of fledglings, and a ladder beneath the entry enables young birds to reach the exit when ready. Use the included, 5� by 5� mounting plate to attach this home to a 4 x 4 post (not included), for a dramatic display in your yard.
