A plastic canopy above the entry directs rain away from the nest, and two slots on the base of each item offer drainage for any captured water. The off white color of each gourd helps the internal temperature remain cool during warm summer days, while also evoking natural gourds used in times past. A hole at the top of each gourd allows you to securely display these units on a rack (not included) or beneath your existing martin house (not included).
