The aluminum perch rods offer a stable, rust proof resting spot for the birds, and two small holes near the base keep the seed ventilated and fresh. The wide design of the die-cast metal top protects feed from moisture, and its weighty construction deters squirrels from lifting it. The attached metal hanger allows the feeder to hang from a branch or hook, and a threaded port at the base allows it to be pole mounted to a 0.75" outer diameter pole (not included).
