Bats are one of the most important and misunderstood animals in our ecosystem, and tend to instill fear rather than awe. These flying mammals are a fantastic indicator of environmental health, and are quite advantageous to house. Bats feed on mosquitoes and other insects, consuming up to 1,200 mosquitoes in an hour. They are a fantastic way to naturally control insect pests, without the need for chemicals or other pollutants.
