Coveside Sunshine's Bat House, Large, 200 bats
Offer several bats a specialized roost in your yard with the Coveside Sunshine's Bat House. This home was designed by Amanda Lollar, who rescued and rehabilitated a little bat named "Sunshine" and authored a book about her experiences. Her field testing of many different bat homes indicates that bats are readily attracted to and occupy this style abode. This house is divided vertically into two chambers, 1.5" and 2" deep. The open entrance slot at the bottom has a wooden guard for predator protection, and an echolcation slot on each side helps bats find the item. Rough wood covered with black screen creates the landing platform and interior surface, allowing bats to cling to these surfaces. While designed for the Mexican free-tail bat, found predominately in the southern United States, this abode is suitable for all species of small, insectivorous bats throughout North America and has been highly successful with the little brown and big brown bats. The eastern white pine construction will last for several seasons, and the two attached brackets on the back of the home make installing it on a wall simple. This home houses up to 200 bats. Bring natural insect control into your yard using the Sunshine's Bat House. Made in the USA.
