A gap between the plastic and the wooden base enables water to escape the nest, and the natural cedar frame resists decay. Remove this back piece to fully clean the home at the end of each season. For avian privacy, an included, black plastic square attaches to the inside of your window with a suction cup, covering the viewing panel.
