The white color of each home helps nestlings remain cool, and a 2.125" diameter entry on each door allows the birds to access the compartments easily. Guard rails along each level provide martins preening and perching spots, and the doors on each compartment lift upward individually for nest checks. Attach the included, 22" long roof perch to the top of each home for added display spots, and use the included winter door stops to close the shelters once the birds migrate. Place each home on one of the included Nature House Martin House Poles, to situate them at just the right height. These heavy duty, galvanized steel poles handily hold the martin houses, and the three sections remain in place with quick-locking clamps and cam arms. This design allows you to raise and lower the poles safely and easily, and each has an included ground socket for a secure and lasting installation.
