Use the turning rod to screw the 24" galvanized steel auger into your soil until the ground stop is flush with the terrain, taking care to keep the top level. Then slide a plastic sleeve over the steel mount, line up the holes, and insert the locking bolt. Once all four augers are installed, just slide the arbor posts over them and secure with the included white screws. Your arbor is now installed 16" into the ground and sure to withstand all but the most severe conditions. In addition, the augers can simply be unscrewed from the soil if you wish, making uninstalling cleaner and easier than traditional concrete anchoring.
