Create a wetland theme in your bird garden with the Acadia Solar Fountain Bird Bath. This dramatic unit easily brings the feel and sound of a natural pond to your yard, and also offers birds a place to bathe. Adding moving water to your bird garden helps attract birds to the area, while keeping the water fresh and free of insects. The base of this item domes slightly upward with a textured finish, cleverly evoking a mound of moss or soil. The tapered column locks into the base, for a stable support on the piece. Raised reed and cattail images surround this stand, furthering the theme. The 15" diameter bird bath rests at the top of the pillar, with a wavy edge and faux veins throughout it mimicking a leaf or lily pad. Two resin frogs rest on the edge of the bath, while one sits on the base and another is climbing the pillar for a touch of whimsy. The significant basin rim offers perching for several birds, and its size allows a few to bathe at once. A solar panel and included pump sit in the depression in the center of the bath to create the fountain. When placed in full sunlight, the solar panel causes the pump to run, which will move the water through the tube and out the top of the solar panel. Use the included spray head to create a shower effect, or use one or both of the riser tubes for a bubbler look. The olive green color of this piece furthers the marsh motif, and the resin body allows it to withstand use for several summers.
