This creative unit uses animal training techniques to deter squirrels from raiding it. A stainless steel wire spirals around the feeder tube, encased in thick, clear plastic to protect it from the elements. This wire connects the electrical element on the roof to the two metal ports at the base of the item. When the included remote control is pressed, this wire delivers a slight electric correction to any squirrel touching the perches or feeding tube. The unit only corrects the marauding squirrel when you press the button on the remote control, and the signal can be received from up to 200 feet away. Use the included AC adapter to charge the roof weekly, to ensure the item remains effective. The tube-style seed reservoir holds 1.3 quarts of mixed, sunflower, or other seed, and its clear plastic helps you easily monitor feed levels. Two feeding ports allow a few birds to feed at once, and the metal perches create comfortable dining spots. The baffle design at the bottom of the tube keeps seed flowing toward the ports, and holes on the base allow water to drain for fresh seed. Lock the roof onto the seed reservoir and turn it to the ON position after charging, and use the attached chain to hang it from a hook or branch. The included remote runs on a single, 12 volt battery (included), and its included wall mount offers a handy place to store it.
