| SpringStar Stink Bug Trap Prevent stink bugs from invading your house in the winter using the SpringStar Stink Bug Trap. This innovative vessel uses light to attract stink bugs to it, for a pesticide-free trap. An interlocking plastic vane and funnel sit atop the plastic jar, creating a place for stink bugs to congregate. The included lamp socket attaches to the top of the vane, and the included blacklight bulb installs into the socket and rests against the vane. The specific wavelength and light emitted by the bulb attracts stinkbugs to the trap when they are indoors. Once near the trap, the bugs fall through the funnel and are trapped in the jar. From there, they can be released outdoors, allowed to hibernate over the winter, or eliminated. For housing stink bugs, place a moist paper towel and fruit in the base of the jar for a food source. If eradicating the insects, fill the base of the jar with soapy water or windshield washing fluid. The plastic construction of the vane, funnel, and jar create a lasting item, and the unit can be disassembled and cleaned for repeated use. Place this trap on a flat, level surface toward the interior of your home, and angle it away from competing light sources for added effectiveness.
