The bottom inlet is surrounded by a ring of smaller, cast iron pegs, elevating the piece for safe and efficient water flow. The thermally protected motor keeps the pump from overheating, while the dielectric oil in the item ensures a long life for the bearings. Using 115 volts for power, this unit connects to a grounded outlet easily with its 3 pronged plug, and the 9.5' long cord offers versatility in placement. A secondary, 10' long cord attached to the float has a piggyback outlet, enabling the item to be used with a switch, and the 1/2 horsepower motor will meet your water removal needs handily.
