The hardened glass reservoir holds up to 8 ounces of nectar, remaining visible within the clear vessel. This bottle inserts into a bright red, plastic base with four flower-shaped feeding ports. A yellow, plastic cage inside each port protects the nectar from bees, while still allowing the hummingbirds to dine. The perch assembly base creates resting spots for hummingbirds, and can also be removed for added versatility. The vivid red of the base, cap, perches, and flowers help attract hummingbirds to the item, and the unit disassembles easily for thorough cleaning and refilling.
