This dynamic, heavy-duty pump offers high volume water flow to your stream or falls, or keeps the water in your pool or spa circulating perfectly. The sturdy, black plastic unit sits outside of the feature for easy maintenance, and can be plumbed to a filtration unit to help ensure your water stays clean. A flat plastic plate extends from the base of the pump, elevating it above the ground to reduce vibrations. Bolt this plate to an equipment pad (not included) or other rigid, level surface for proper placement of the item. The vortex impeller and lasting motor have automatic thermal overload protection, turning off if the unit overheats to extend the life of the piece. Install the included 1.5" check valve in your line near the pump outlet, to ensure your pump remains primed. An attached debris basket captures any solids, and the unit is easily monitored through the clear lid. Remove the plastic strainer for regular clearing and cleaning, and use the included drain plug at the basket's base to drain excess water when necessary. This pump features a 1 Hp motor which uses a standard 115 volt outlet for power, and the 72" long cord allows for versatile placement. The two included 1.5" MNPT barbs connect to flexible tubing, while two included 1.5" slip fittings easily attach to rigid PVC. Teflon tape helps keep all fittings in place for a secure feature. Gallons Per Hour (GPH) represents the maximum amount of water your pump is capable of pushing at a given Head Height. To ensure the pump's best possible performance, reduce frictional losses by using the largest diameter hose possible.
