The two wide side panels feature a wolf silhouette howling at a crescent moon, next to a cactus shape. Stylized sunbursts on the two smaller side panels further the theme. A textured, metal roof covers the piece, and its rounded sections and red color evoke clay roofs often seen in the southwest. The large reservoir holds 5 quarts of bird seed, and a perch on two sides creates ample places for birds to rest and dine. Four openings at the base of the unit allow the seed to exit onto the bottom tray, so birds may reach it with ease, and a raised section inside the reservoir acts as a baffle. The hefty metal and plastic construction form a lasting feeder, and the attached cable enables it to be hung from a sturdy branch or hook. The tan, red, and amber tones are reminiscent of hot sun in the desert, and a sunburst accent on the hanging cable completes the effect.
