Three metal mesh globes stack one atop the other, creating the familiar snowman shape, and three black discs on the center orb evoke buttons. Two additional discs on the top sphere form eyes, along with a triangular piece of folded metal for a nose and a black chain adding a smile. A black top hat completes the unit, for an easily identifiable and whimsical feeder. These three, metal mesh globes hold a combined 2.875 quarts of large seed, such as sunflower kernels or peanut chunks. The diamond-shaped openings throughout the unit exclusively allow clinging birds to dine, and plates between each level help seed stay evenly distributed. A solid metal disc at the feeder base keeps the seed contained, and four drainage holes on it allow water to exit. The black top hat further protects the feed from rain, and lifts off the snowman�s head for cleaning and refilling the item. A white LED at the base of this hat is powered by the solar panel on its lid, and will illuminate at dusk when the switch is in the ON position.
