A 9� diameter tray sits at the bottom of the reservoir, and four ports allow seed to easily reach the base. A slight lip around the tray creates perching spots for birds, and drainage holes on its perimeter help seed remain dry and fresh. An integrated baffle at the base of the reservoir directs seed to the four ports, while the mesh keeps the extra seed in place easily. The innovative design of this unit allows both perching and clinging birds to feed, and its durable, metal construction deters squirrels. The speckled, bronze colored finish lends dimension to this piece, and the solid steel roof protects seed from the elements. Two brass colored latches keep the roof in place while in use, further deterring squirrels.
