Natureline II Single 11" Gourd, Oblong SREH

Create classic housing for your martins using the Natureline II 11" Gourd. This gourd was designed with a martin's needs in mind. The generous 11" diameter base offers plenty of nesting room, and enables the martins to place their nest away from the door for added protection against predators. A side viewing port and cap allow you to perform nest checks with ease, and prevent nestlings from fledging early when nest doors are open unexpectedly. The opaque white color keeps the gourd cool through the warm summer months, while the vent cap at the top adds an extra level of temperature adjustment. The snap-in door with oblong starling resistant entrance hole eliminates the need to disassemble the gourd for year-end cleaning, and is interchangeable with the round, crescent SREH, or blank door insert for winter. A small canopy over the hole protects the interior from rain, and two large holes in the bottom of the gourd help drain and dry the interior when necessary. The durable plastic gourd includes UV inhibitors, added to withstand the effects of the sun. Place several of the 11" Gourds on your gourd rack and watch martins colonize. This gourd can be assembled with only a Phillips screwdriver. Made in the USA.
