Made of 0.04 gauge white aluminum, this house eliminates all of the drawbacks of a wooden house. The Goliad is lightweight, making it easy to raise and lower for convenient maintenance. Also, the aluminum dissipates heat and maintains a comfortable temperature for the martins. Each of the twelve compartments measures 6" x 6" x 12", virtually eliminating any predation by owls and hawks, which increases fledgling rates. The compartments have individual porches and guard rails to discourage male martin domination and are hinged for easy nest checks and nest removal. During winter migration, use the included door stops to dam up your house and keep out aggressive and invading starlings. This house is top of the line and should exceed a 75% occupancy rate when properly placed atop the Lonestar Pole and Winch (not included) in an open space.
