This filter combines BioVort technology with a superior design to minimize maintenance and provide the ultimate in filtration. The BioVort system concentrates solids and debris in the center of the filter to keep clean water running through the extended-life filter pads. As water passes through the pads, beneficial bacteria help break down organic sludge and improve water clarity. Accumulated solids and debris can be removed quickly and easily during routine maintenance by simply opening the backflush port on the back of the tank. The vortex inside the filter will flush the tank, rinsing it clean.
The Watermark Biological Waterfall Filter also features an innovative design that offers a more convenient installation and undeniable results. Its thick, corrugated walls stand firm against the pressure of backfill and the unique hollow lid may be filled with sand to ensure stability. Attaching liner to this unit couldn't be easier thanks to the stainless steel band clamp surrounding the tank. Simply slide the liner under the clamp and tighten the clamp. Both the waterfall weir and included waterfall rock are equipped with built-in drip protection to prevent water from seeping behind the liner. This Watermark Biological Waterfall Filter creates a dramatic waterfall feature while offering complete filtration for ponds up to 5,000 gallons with a maximum pump flow of 5,000 gallons per hour. Pairing this filter with the appropriate pump will give you a fresh, clean water feature year after year. This versatile filtration unit includes a bulkhead fitting to accept 2" MNPT adapter. A mesh media bag is included for additional biological filter media. One year limited warranty.
