The body of the house has a slightly tapered form, with a 1.25" diameter entry hole in the center of the front panel. This entry is inset into the wood, surrounded by an asymmetrical opening in the outer layer of the home. Such design mimics openings found in trees, for a natural roost for your birds. The steeply pitched roof adds more height, and the speckled finish on the home furthers the antique look. Ventilation gaps beneath the roof overhang keep the internal temperature regulated, and a drainage slot at the base helps the nest stay dray. A copper cleanout panel on the back enables you to monitor the home with ease, and a hanger here allows the item to be hung on a wall or tree. For added versatility, place a mounting plate (not included) on the base of the home to pole mount it. Natural wood shakes on the roof further the handcrafted appeal, and red and green shakes scattered throughout it add color. Copper flashing on the top of the roof lends an elegant hint, and matches the copper of the back for a unified feel. Bring a classic look to your yard with this Vintage Wren House. Made in the USA.
