The two 1" deep vertical chambers feature rough wooden interiors for extra roosting and clinging surfaces. Landing platforms are also covered with screening, for easier bat access to the house. A black wooden roof keeps the temperature maintained in the home, and a metal bat shape adorns the front of the abode. Bat houses are most effective when faced toward the south or southeast approximately 15 feet above the ground. The Heartwood Bat Haven is hand-crafted in the USA.
