| Home Bazaar Hamlet Bird Feeder Bring a touch of French aristocratic style to your yard using the Home Bazaar Hamlet Bird Feeder. This highly detailed and intricate piece lends architecture and design to your bird garden, while creating a theme. The feeder is part of The Queen’s Hamlet series, reproducing one of the structures built for Marie Antoinette’s idyllic village outside Paris. Wooden slats are vertically oriented on two sides of this feeder, and the allover tan background evokes stucco. A faux window and door on these panels adds more realism, as do the stone chimney and cedar shingled roof. Clear plastic panels form the other two sides of the unit, and a center panel has vertical brown bars to blend with the wooden sides. A cut out at the base of each plastic panel allows some of the 1.4 quarts of seed to exit onto the base tray, where birds can enjoy it. The reservoir can accommodate mixed seed, cracked corn, sunflower seed, or peanut splits, and the center divider helps direct feed toward the base openings. Small holes in each corner of the bottom platform allow any water to drain, and a raised lip on the base helps keep seed contained. Lift the roof upward to fill this item in moments, and use the attached metal chain to hang it from a hook easily. Invite birds to dine comfortably in your yard with this Hamlet Bird Feeder.
Note: Climate and the elements will weather this feeder and change its appearance over time; however, weathering will add to the item's natural charm without compromising its function. Should you want to preserve the finish (paint) of this feeder, you should select a matte finish polyurethane product that is recommended for marine use (UV Rated) that will not alter the colors of the paints. You should expect that once left outside, the product will weather and require refinishing.
