A tall post stands next to the porch edge, with four signs on it indicating the way to Cape May, Key West, Point Reyes, and St. Padre Island, all popular birding areas. A window above the porch roof holds a 1.25" opening, enabling birds to enter the home. The deep interior offers room for an entire avian family, with two drainage holes on the base for a dry nest. For added effectiveness, a ladder beneath the entry hole helps nestlings reach the exit when ready. Ventilation gaps on two sides of the home aid in regulating the temperature, assisted further by its white color and wooden construction.
