With two large topiaries guarding the front door and two cavities with individual balconies, this majestic residence is sure to impress even the most distinguished of your birds. This fully functional mansion is the perfect addition to any backyard birding sanctuary or to any home as a decorative item. The separate 1.25" diameter entrances are ideal for smaller songbirds and the back is removable for convenient seasonal cleanouts and maintenance.

Using only the finest materials available with a painstaking attention to detail, the Le Chateau Bird House is handcrafted of kiln-dried hardwood, exterior grade plyboard, and non-toxic oil-based exterior paint. The western red cedar shingles will naturally patina to a silvery grey color that will add character to the house. With proper maintenance, this bird house will provide years of enjoyment for both you and your feathered friends. A handsome dark yellow finish give this house a rich look. This house may be fastened to a 4 x 4 post directly or be fastened to the Le Chateau Bird House Base (not included), which fits directly over a 4 x 4 post. It is also equipped with rubber feet so that it may rest on a solid, flat surface inside your home.

Climate and the elements will weather the house and change its appearance over time; however, weathering will add to the house's natural charm without compromising its function. Should you want to preserve the finish (paint), you should select a polyurethane product that is recommended for marine use (UV Rated) that will not turn the white paint yellow. You should expect that once left outside, the product will weather and require refinishing.
