The Home Bazaar Honeymoon Bird Cottage combines practical function with intricate design to make the perfect retreat for your songbirds. This fully functional bird house resembles a quaint country cottage that will welcome your birds to nest. The single cavity features a 1.25" diameter opening and the back of the house is removable for convenient seasonal cleanouts.

Using only the finest materials available with a painstaking attention to detail, the Honeymoon Bird Cottage is handcrafted of kiln-dried hardwood, exterior grade plyboard, and non-toxic oil-based exterior paint. The western red cedar shingles will naturally patina to a silvery grey color that will add character to the house. With proper maintenance, this bird house will provide years of enjoyment for both you and your feathered friends. This house may be fastened to a wall or post using the included bracket and hardware. It is also equipped with rubber feet so that it may rest on a solid, flat surface inside your home.

Note: Climate and the elements will weather the house and change its appearance over time; however, weathering will add to the house's natural charm without compromising its function. Should you want to preserve the finish (paint), you should select a polyurethane product that is recommended for marine use (UV Rated) that will not turn the white paint yellow. You should expect that once left outside, the product will weather and require refinishing.
