To use the unit, insert a stem and ferrule onto your garden hose and place the mandrel on the machine. Tighten the handle on the machine until the mandrel expands to the correct size, using the adjusting template for accuracy. Add your complete stem, ferrule, and garden hose assembly to the mandrel and pull back the lever to crimp the coupling. Push the handle forward to remove your coupled assembly. The included 5/8" mandrel will create standard 5/8" couplings on your garden hose. Create 3/4" or 1/2" couplings with different mandrels (not included). The sturdy metal construction of the machine will allow it to last for years, and the wide base with screw holes enables it to easily mount to a sturdy, flat surface.
