This innovative gauge has an elongated rain tube with bright yellow demarcations on it, indicating how much rain you have received. The large numbers note rainfall up to 5" with help from the bright orange float. The base features two LEDs and an infrared sensor on the front. Use any remote with an infrared sensor (not included) to light the LEDs for five seconds from up to 25 feet away. The light will shine up through the water and highlight the orange float, letting you know if additional rainfall occurred in the evening hours. The funnel shaped green top has a large plastic matrix in the bottom, preventing debris from entering your gauge. Use the included green metal stake to place this item in the ground, or connect the stake to a fence post. A metal leaf shape adorns the stake, for added interest. The plastic and metal construction creates a faithful gauge for several seasons. This unit uses two included AAA batteries for power.
