Two depressions on the 8.25” diameter seed tray allow the feed to exit from the tube, for birds to enjoy it, and drainage holes here keep feed dry. Two side cups extend from the base of the feeder, each accommodating up to 1.5 cups of another food, such as fruit, mealworms, suet nuggets, or even water. Cleaning and refilling this station is truly simple, as the reservoir is designed to slide up and down the included pole. A linchpin beneath the feeder may be removed, for you to lower it for replenishing seed without reaching. The integrated funnel keeps seed moving toward the bottom of the reservoir, and the side cups can also be removed from the metal holders for cleaning. The two plastic cups also clean simply by unlocking them from their loops. They twist into place for security during raising and lowering of the feeder, and to deter animals from taking them. The unit can be moved upward once full, and kept in place by reinstalling the linchpin. A generous, 16” diameter squirrel baffle sits on the pole beneath the feeder, keeping squirrels away from the station.
