Watch beautiful, acrobatic birds dine in your garden with the Droll Yankees Upside Down Finch Flocker Feeder. Placing a songbird selective, thistle-only feeder in your bird sanctuary enhances its appeal, inviting goldfinches and chickadees to the area. The sturdy, polycarbonate seed tube holds 2.15 quarts of nyjer seed or blend, and the 14 ports each have an individual perch. These ports rest beneath the perches, allowing siskins, goldfinches, and redpolls to feed, but preventing other birds from using the item. House finches and house sparrows do not enjoy feeding upside down, and thus will refrain from using the feeder. A sloped base on the piece prevents seed from gathering, and drainage holes allow it to stay dry. The heavy-duty metal cap rests tightly atop the reservoir, making it difficult for predators to lift and reach the seed. The metal cap, perches, and base create a lasting feeder, and the bright yellow color of the cap and base help attract certain birds. Use the attached stainless steel wire to hang the item, or pole mount it with help from a 0.75" threaded adapter (not included).
