Fledglings can readily reach the exit to leave the nest box when ready thanks to a ladder on the inside of the front panel, and gaps in each base corner ensure the cavity remains dry. Additional gaps below the large roof overhang offer ventilation, furthered by the 0.75" thick pine boards and their light coloration. Over time, these sustainably sourced panels will age to a striking gray hue, and an attached back hanger makes placement on a post, tree, or wall simple. Use a mounting bracket (not included) on the base for a different display option, and lift one latched side panel to perform nest checks and periodic maintenance.
