Entice bluebirds to roost in your yard with the BestNest Seasonal Bluebird House. The innovative design of this house caters specifically to bluebirds, offering a convenient roost. The significant overhang shields the home from rain and other moisture while preventing predators from reaching into the entrance hole from the roof. A 1.5" diameter entrance hole rests underneath the overhang, and an image of a bluebird underneath the entry adds style. Two ventilation slots at the top of the house help regulate the temperature, while drainage holes at each corner of the base keep the nest dry. The front panel opens from the bottom for quick and simple nest checks, and the unique thumb screw closure keeps it securely latched. A small sliding baffle rests in grooves inside the home. During bluebird nesting season, this baffle acts to keep nestlings safe during routine observations. Once bluebirds have left for the season, slide this panel upward and keep it in place with the included tabs to guard the nest box from being overtaken by unwanted birds. Mount this nest box using the convenient predrilled holes at the top for pole mounting the unit, or use the additional predrilled hole near the base of the back for secure post mounting.
