The soft orange glaze throughout the piece has a crackle finish for dimension, with unglazed silhouettes of branches, leaves, and a bird around the center column for more design. This column creates a seed reservoir, which easily accommodates 0.85 quarts of mixed, sunflower, or safflower seed. Two ports at the base of the column allow seed to exit onto the attached tray, and drainage holes here help food remain dry. A flat top protects seed from rain, and slides up the attached metal cable for refilling the piece. Use this cable to hang the feeder in a tree, or place it on a bracket for a feeding station near your home.
