Using bird-specific feeders in your yard attracts a wealth of birds to different areas, for healthy songbirds and fun avian antics. This unit easily helps bluebirds and orioles feed, while deterring robins, grackles, and squirrels. The 11.5" diameter plastic base tray offers perching, and a removable mealworm cup in the center further attracts insect eaters. A sturdy metal cage surrounds the cup and part of the tray, and its 1.5" square openings only allow certain birds passage to the feed. This cup holds 0.4 quarts of mealworms, while the tray accommodates 0.15 quarts of seed, and can even accommodate fruit pieces for the delight of orioles. A significant, hat-shaped blue baffle covers the unit, further protecting the food from squirrels and the elements, and its vivid blue color easily attracts attention. The included 24" chain allows the feeder to be hung from a tree, while the cord and cord lock enable the unit to be pole mounted on a 1" outer diameter pole (not included). Made from lasting, recycled plexiglass and sturdy metal, this feeder will surely withstand use for several seasons.
